Our organization specialises in promotions and concerts, primarily of a charitable nature around and within the WEST INDIES. In July of this year, we will be launching the First Annual Caribbean AIDS Awareness Festival.
This Festival will launch in The Bahamas in July of this year, however, as of June 2005, it will hit the road and tour the Caribbean in the same manner as any other "Concert-Tour".
Over the past three years, the majority of new cases of HIV/AIDS have been prevalent amongst persons between the ages of 16 - 35. We (West Indian Entertainment) believe the best way to get through to the young adults in the Caribbean/West Indies is through the music and entertainment industry (bearing in mind that most young adults refuse to pick up pamplets or go to discussions on the prevention of HIV & AIDS).
The Caribbean AIDS Awareness Festival/Concert will start in Trinidad next year on the 2nd Saturday in June and will work it's way back to The Bahamas for the last Saturday in July after shows in the following islands:
St. Lucia, Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and Turks & Caicos. |
